More than a quarter of the UK's carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions come from the energy we use to heat, light and run our homes. We all have a responsibility to do our bit to combat the issue of climate change.
With this in mind, Potterton has developed its range of boilers to minimise the effect their use has on the environment. It has taken every step to ensure that nitrogen oxides (NOx) and CO2 emissions, pollutants that cause acid rain and damage the atmosphere's protective ozone, are kept to a minimum.
From 2005, all new boiler installations must be SEDBUK Band 'A' or 'B' rated - an energy efficiency rating system similar to that used on white goods. Potterton's Promax and Gold ranges of boilers are proud to achieve SEDBUK Band A efficiency.
Greater efficiency means lower fuel bills. In fact, high efficiency boilers can reduce fuel consumption by almost 20% compared to standard boilers, which is good news when the gas bill arrives!
Potterton Gold Combi HE and Potterton Promax Combi HE Plus - designed to heat your home and provide instant hot water whenever you turn on the tap, without the need for a hot water storage cylinder or water tank in the loft.
Potterton Promax HE Plus - a heat-only range of boilers that provides heat for radiators directly, and needs to be connected to a separate hot water storage cylinder, cold water cistern and expansion cistern in the loft. The Potterton Promax SL is small enough to fit into a standard kitchen cupboard.
Potterton Promax System HE Plus - a range of system boilers that can be sited anywhere in the home with no need for a separate tank in the loft. Hot water is stored in a separate hot water cylinder.
Potterton Promax FSB 30 HE - a floor standing, fully pumped system for homes with a high hot water demand, it can heat the separate hot water storage cylinder up to 70% quicker than a conventional boiler.
