In line with market demand for unvented hot water storage systems, leading boiler manufacturer Potterton has extended its Promax System HE Plus range of boilers. Potterton now offers five Promax system models, available in 12kW, 15kW, 18kW, 24kW and 32kW versions, ensuring there is a model available to satisfy the demands of every conceivable domestic application.
The Promax System HE Plus range has been extended in response to increasing consumer demand for exceptional hot water performance for powerful showers, fast filling baths and body jets. This requirement can be satisfied with an unvented hot water storage cylinder, to which the system boiler is a natural partner.
Unvented hot water storage is becoming more popular than ever in the UK* and is fast becoming the preferred choice for new build homes and bathroom refurbishment projects. Fed directly from the cold water mains, unvented hot water storage cylinders deliver powerful mains pressure hot water to all taps, without a significant loss of performance if more than one tap or shower is used simultaneously.
The SEDBUK Band A rated Potterton Promax System HE Plus was designed with installers in mind. The boilers have a low lift weight and easily accessible components, to ensure ease of installation even when heating engineers are faced with awkward or confined spaces. A wall hanging jig is included as standard, with optional extras including a stand off kit and filling loop. For the benefit of the end user, controls and operating instructions are straightforward and concise.
Potterton product manger Raxa Chauhan said: "Unvented hot water storage is now being specified for an increasing number of new build homes, and the market has seen good growth over the last few years. Modern homeowners lead busy, hectic lives and increasingly expect a high level of performance from their hot water systems.
"In addition, luxury bathroom products such as multi-jet showers are becoming more mass market and affordable. These products significantly increase hot water demands, as they require a rapid fill time and a large volume of stored hot water to operate effectively.”
Potterton is committed to controlling and reducing NOx emissions, which can cause acid rain. The Potterton Promax System HE Plus produces less than 40mg of NOx per kilowatt hour, meeting EcoHomes** criteria for the top 'Class 5+' rating for conventional boilers and earning the maximum three credits.
The Promax System HE Plus boiler range is supported by heateam, Potterton's after sales service division. heateam is a swift and effective response service, which operates in line with installer and homeowners' requirements.
