Local company Magna Heating is celebrating after it was awarded the prestigious CORGI Installer of the Year: Central England, at a ceremony held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. The event was hosted by comedian Stephen K Amos and was attended by many leading figures from the UK heating industry.
The award was voted for by a panel of heating industry experts who agreed that Magna Heating stood out as having exceeded the expectations of its customers.
Proprietor Paul Lockyer was presented with the trophy by Craig Slater, Chairman of CORGI, and Mark Allen of Loctite, who sponsored the category. Paul said: "We are delighted and proud to be recognised by the heating industry for the quality of our customer service and for the high standards of workmanship that we strive to achieve.
"Magna Heating has been established for over 26 years, and it has always been our aim to achieve 100 per cent customer satisfaction. We believe that our customer service is second to none - we are available 24/7, 365 days a year. Because we do not subcontract labour but employ local, skilled tradesmen, we can guarantee every job reaches our high standards and only consider the job complete when the customer is happy.
"Training is paramount, and we employ apprentices who we support through Government training schemes. We also provide work experience opportunities for local young people, to come along and spend time with our engineers.
"We also actively promote gas safety to our customers. When we visit a home, our engineers advise the householder of the importance of having boilers serviced annually to keep them in prime working order. This means they work at maximum efficiency and are gas safe.
"And, importantly, we believe in supporting the local economy. As well as having 50 local employees, we also install Potterton boilers, and other Baxi Group products, which are also based in Warwick. In fact, I have used Potterton boilers for over 30 years!”
