Our Approach to Energy Efficiency

Energy Efficiency and Environment

It is Baxi Potterton's mission to successfully develop, produce and sell high efficiency home comfort heating solutions, which contribute to a better quality of life for our customers whilst maintaining a healthy environment.

The future we envisage is that our customers acknowledge Baxi Potterton as the leading producer and their preferred partner when it comes to high quality heating solutions in terms of performance and environment.

Sustainable development is a key to Baxi Potterton's business strategy. We regard it as vital that our operations are organised so that they place as little strain as possible on our surroundings and the environment.

We have conceived and implemented procedures and systems to identify, measure and control the environmental aspects of our activities, processes and products. We aim to establish and communicate clear objectives wherever improvements are required to fulfil our legal and environmental policy requirements. This ensures that we maintain our I.S.O. 14001 accreditation of Environmental Management System Standards. As a result of this the company's environmental systems will be periodically audited to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness.

Wherever possible we use the cleanest available technology in our processes and dispose of all packaging materials, waste metals and liquids in an environmentally sound manner.

Committed to Energy Efficiency

Responding positively to Climate Change inspires enthusiasm in our staff and also our customers. As market leader in the UK, Baxi Potterton are well-placed to lead the response to social and environmental changes. We believe that we are indeed responding positively to these challenges. Government legislation in the form of the Energy White Paper and subsequent amendments to Part L of the Building Regulations has caused an acceleration of the Baxi Potterton energy efficiency development program. This has resulted in a plethora of high efficiency products being brought to market in 2004 with the condensing boiler ranges being further expanded during 2005. We believe that improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions makes good business and environmental sense.
